Moon Eclipses Lamp-post

I had a surprise when I headed to bed this evening. As usual the lamp-post was gleaming ostentatiously outside my window, but tonight the moon was at it as well –directly above the lamp-post, shining even more brightly.
Obviously my tics couldn’t resist this opportunity to goad the lamp-post.
“Lamp-post, the moon’s showing you up.”
“Lamp-post, you’ll need to try harder.”
“Lamp-post, the moon has better curves than you.”
“Moon you’re a better role model for the lamp-post than the TV aerial.”
“Goodnight lamp-post. Goodnight moon.”
